The Role

The Managing Director will lead Pink Mango Rwanda into its next phase of growth, transforming a young, high potential factory into a world-class, export-grade garment manufacturing operation.


This is not a maintenance role, it is a builder’s mission ideal for a hands-on leader who can create structure, drive efficiency and inspire a team of Unlockers in a country where the apparel industry is still emerging.


Key Responsibilities

• Build and professionalise factory operations to international standards  (quality,     cost, delivery, compliance, sustainability).

• Design and implement scalable systems across production, merchandising,           planning, HR and quality.

• Lead, mentor and inspire a team of Unlockers, empowering local talent                   through training and knowledge transfer.

• Drive operational excellence and cost efficiency through lean manufacturing         and data-driven decision making.

• Engage with key international customers and ensure flawless execution of Tier-   1 client requirements.

• Partner with new investors to ensure effective deployment of capital and               accelerated scaling.

• Support the company’s strategic expansion into regional and premium                   segments.


Experience

  Minimum 15 years in garment manufacturing, including at least 5 years in a            General Manager / Managing Director capacity.

• Proven success in building or restructuring factories (greenfield or turnaround       projects).

• Strong grasp of lean manufacturing, industrial engineering, cost control and           compliance frameworks.

• Global experience preferred (South/Southeast Asia, Turkey, China, Africa).

• Excellent communication, leadership and cross-cultural management skills.

• Hands-on, entrepreneurial and adaptable mindset, able to thrive in a fast-             evolving, high-impact environment.
