The Accountant – E-commerce will play a key operational role in supporting the company’s financial health and growth by overseeing stock control, reconciliations, and financial reporting. Working closely with retail teams, management, and external accounting partners, this role requires precision, initiative, and strong organisational skills to ensure accurate financial tracking, efficient processes, and seamless support for a growing ethical fashion brand.

Duties and Responsibilities

The Accountant – E-commerce plays a central role in ensuring the financial integrity of Wild Rose by maintaining accurate records, supporting operations, and improving financial systems. Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing weekly stock transfer orders and coordinating with retail locations and the stock controller
  • Ensuring inventory accuracy and performing monthly reconciliations with Zoho inventory and physical stock
  • Entering all purchase transactions into the accounting system and maintaining proper documentation
  • Monitoring stock levels and assisting in reorder decisions for both raw materials and finished goods
  • Performing monthly bank and MPESA reconciliations and keeping detailed records
  • Preparing monthly sales and stock reconciliation reports
  • Liaising with customers and workshop visitors regarding orders and payments
  • Working with third-party accounting firms to generate accurate monthly reports and management accounts
  • Supporting stock controller performance and monitoring order timelines with tailoring teams
  • Attending Wild Rose events such as pop-ups and fairs to represent the company and assist in sales
  • Supporting the COO with operational finance matters and planning for growth-oriented improvements in systems and processes


Skills experience and attributes

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • CPA K is a must
  • Minimum of 5–7 years’ experience in a similar role, ideally within e-commerce, retail, or fashion
  • Strong grasp of inventory systems such as Zoho and accounting software like QuickBooks
  • Solid Excel and data analysis skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and ability to meet deadlines
  • Confident in engaging with clients and representing the brand in public settings
  • Flexible and willing to support a small, passionate team with a can-do attitude
  • High integrity, professionalism, and a passion for ethical business and creative entrepreneurship
