As Head of Procurement, you will lead all procurement and supply chain operations, ensuring efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and alignment with Segera’s sustainability values. Overseeing supplier relationships, inventory management, and compliance, you will play a critical role in supporting the organisation’s operational excellence and ethical sourcing standards. This leadership role demands strategic oversight and hands-on management of procurement activities across all departments.

Position Objectives
The Head of Procurement will oversee and manage all procurement and supply chain activities across the organization. This includes strategic sourcing, procurement planning, supplier relationship management, and inventory control to ensure operational efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and alignment with Segera’s sustainability values and business goals.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Procurement Management
- Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with organizational goals and sustainability initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies and regulatory requirements.
- Lead cost-saving initiatives, value-for-money procurement practices, and continuous improvement strategies.
- Support the planning and execution of major capital and operational procurement projects.
- Represent the department in strategic meetings and planning sessions with senior management.
2. Supplier Relationship & Contract Management
- Maintain and update a preferred supplier database in line with the Segera Supplier Code of Conduct.
- Build and manage supplier relationships to ensure high-quality goods and services.
- Negotiate contracts and terms to secure the best pricing, service, and quality.
- Monitor supplier performance and ensure adherence to contracts, service levels, and ethical standards.
3. Procurement Operations & Inventory Management
- Process and track purchase orders, ensuring timely and accurate procurement of goods and services.
- Receive and inspect goods to verify compliance with orders and specifications.
- Maintain optimal stock levels and manage inventory through regular audits, spot checks, and monthly stock takes.
- Ensure accurate and timely recordkeeping using the inventory management system.
- Monitor stock movement, obsolescence, and depreciation of stored items.
- Implement procedures for recycling and waste reduction in line with environmental best practices.
4. Team Leadership & Compliance
- Supervise procurement and stores staff, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
- Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations in all procurement and storage activities.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free working environment.
- Oversee the safekeeping of all procurement and storage facilities, regulating access to authorized personnel.
- Support internal and external audits and implement recommended corrective actions.
5. Reporting & Documentation
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of procurement transactions, supplier contracts, and inventory data.
- Submit regular reports on procurement performance, savings, and risk assessments to management.
- Forward verified invoices and documentation to accounts for timely payments.
- Monitor usage of issued items and ensure proper documentation for tools, uniforms, and equipment.
